Intervjuade sångaren i Skindred, brukar ta en bild på de jag intervjuar, han ville inte detta, utan han ville att vi skulle ta en selfie. Specifikt med mobilen, fick inte använda min systemkamera.
So how are you liking Sweden?
I enjoy Sweden, very beautiful country. Very clean country as well, a lot of the European country’s are not so clean but Sweden is pretty clean.
Is it hard to combine reggae with metal?
No! It’s something that you do, like I don’t know. It’s like if you know french and you know german  and you know spanish, you can speak it. We know reggae and we know metal so we do it.
So you released a new album this year, what’s your favorite song on it?
The new album? Well we haven’t preformed them live yet so that’s gonna be difficult. But to listen to I enjoy a song called Under Attack, there’s another song called Sound the Siren. I enjoy listening to them and I think they’re gonna have a great impact live.
Why?
Well you just know when a song is gonna rock. And I know they’re gonna rock live.
So what’s the best thing about preforming live? Because you were really good today,jumping around having lots of energy.
I like to bring an energy to a concert. I like to make the crowd feel relaxed, not to like.. I like to be on side with the crowd, I want them to feel relaxed and you know, I want this to be bringing people together. It’s really important for Skindred, I don’t know for other bands, but for Skindred it’s important to bring the whole room as one then we can rock together as one, you knwo that’s what I think is important, just making people feel relaxed , there’s no bullshit with us, you know, what we is is what we is.
So you’ve done a couple of albums, which one is your favorite?
Um I don’t know, I mean I don’t like them all. I only like some of the songs on them, I don’t like all the albums, I mean I never, I got a thousand albums at my house by different people and I never like all the songs on them.
Really?
Just some songs.
You don’t have like ”yeah that album is so great”?
No,no,no. Not at all. I gotta be real, I mean I like my albums but I don’t like everything on them.
Why not? You made them..
Sometimes you’re in a room with four other guys and everybody got to be happy so everybody get a chance to do their thing, so you do your best with every song but not every song are you gonna like, which is good.
Do you like the ones you preform live?
Well if we do preform them live it’s because I like them.
Do you ever feel like you just wanna do a reggae song or just a metal?
No, the thing about is that if I wanna do a reggae song I can but I’m not necessarily gonna do it with Skindred. Like I just release my own reggae album, full reggae no heavy metal no nothing, just me singing reggae and it’s going really well we recorded it with a friend of mine in England and it’s on the internet you can buy the album and so yes there’s nothing I wish to do because we have a lot of outlets for everybody, everybody is free.
Anything you want to say before the interview is over?
I just want to say to the people that listen  to music , I just wanna say to the fans of Skindred. If you’re stealing our music, if you’re downloading our music illegally and not paying for it, the only way you can turn it all around, is if you buy a ticket to a concert of Skindreds and come there and buy a t-shirt, support live music because without you music will die and you are every person including yourself responsible to keep music alive. BOOM!
